On April 25, 2010 Hawke Robinson and Michael Martinez once again collaborated, partnered, conferred, and otherwise connived to produce a new episode of their talk show for iddle-earth Radio.
There are technical difficulties and occasional references to past episodes, and a few celebratory self-shared backpats. And Michael foolishly thinks he can scoop TheOneRing.Net on a bit of Tolkien-related news.
This is one of the “raw”, unedited episodes. Michael’s voice fades in and out. Sorry.
At the very least you can hear Hawke’s side of the conversation as Michael strobes in and out of the audible range while talking about a Warner Brothers contest for Lord of the Rings fans (the contest is now ended as of this writing).
You can download or stream Episode 21 of Middle-earth Talk Radio. Middle-earth Talk Radio is a production of Middle-earth Radio, which offers (besides a talk show) several streams of music simultaneously.
This is one of the earliest episodes mentioning or discussing Rehtaeh, Elvish singer Heather Downing. Other topics include a Sauron sculpture and why people’s faces “drop” as they age; Simon Tolkien; and James Owens’ imaginary childhood story of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis (discussion of which wandered into “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”). Later in the show they discuss an old Tolkien project Michael had launched many years ago called “Findegil’s Insider’s Guide to The Lord of the Rings”.
Middle-earth Radio boasts the Web’s largest collection of Middle-earth and Tolkien-inspired music.
